Risen Nation Branding | Torn Paper

After several years in ministry and serving in different churches in the Greater Houston area Pastor Matt Hammersky began to feel the Lord placing a desire to plant a church in his hometown area of Deer Park. More than just a church building that could be used for a Sunday morning meeting place, Pastor Matt was challenged with a question that God had asked him. “Would the community notice if your church disappeared?” He realized then that God was desiring to do something different with Risen Nation Church. He began to have a vision of not only a church that would truly love one another but a church that would be a beacon of hope to the entire community of Deer Park, Pasadena and La Porte. A place where lost and saved a like would look to for help in times of trouble and in times of great need. A place that truly served the community while loving without an agenda. He walked away from the encounter with the idea for a church that would also function as a community center that would be open to the public during the week. In 2018 Matt and his wife Sydney decided to say yes to the this larger than life vision and had their first Risen Nation Church meeting in December 2018 at his parent’s house. The response was overwhelming and many connected with the vision and thus Risen Nation Church was born.
